This oil on canvas painting in the size of 36″x24″ translates fluid ink studies made outdoors on Oʻahu into a structured yet breathing composition. Organic, interlocking forms—first explored through pencil drawings—unfold like a shifting architecture, balancing control and spontaneity. The palette draws from the warmth of spices—cinnamon, ginger, clove—infusing the surface with an earthy sensuality that feels both grounded and atmospheric.
Hovering between still life and inner landscape, the work is subtly autobiographical.
